CELESTE AND KATIES’S BACON CARBONARA

We love nothing more than experimenting with every oil and vinegar and salt in every food we can think of! Here is a warm, creamy comfort food developed in our very own Tasteful Additions kitchen by our fearless chefs, Celeste Kovachi and Katie Messimano.

You’ll get the flavor of bacon on those nights when you are tired and just feel like sitting down to a comforting hot meal FAST without a lot of work.

1 box Fuseli pasta

½ cup Tasteful Additions Bacon EVOO

1 container of Baby Bella mushrooms, washed and sliced

½ cup sweet onion, chopped

½ bag frozen peas

½ cup light sour cream

1/3 cup parmesan cheese, grated

Tasteful Additions Hia Kawi Black Lava Salt

 

Sautee mushrooms and onions in a few spoonfuls of the Bacon Olive oil.  When almost done, add the frozen peas until warm.  Turn off heat.  In a separate saucepan, boil water and prepare pasta according to the package directions.  Drain.

 

Toss boiled pasta with the remaining olive oil, sautéed mushrooms, onions, peas, and sour cream.  Add parmesan cheese and the Hia Kawi salt to taste.  Quick and delicious.
